Usage note

电话是一种可以跟远处的人说话的机器。我们用它来聊天或问事情。

diànhuà shì yī zhǒng kěyǐ gēn yuǎnchù de rén shuōhuà de jīqì. wǒmen yòng tā lái liáotiān huò wèn shìqíng.

A telephone is a device that lets you talk to someone far away. We use it to chat or ask about things.

Context note

打电话时，我们会用到数字来拨号。

Dǎ diànhuà shí, wǒmen huì yòng dào shùzì lái bōhào.

When making a phone call, we use numbers to dial.
