Usage note

那儿表示远一点的地方,意思接近那里。说话时常用来指一个看得见的地方。

nà ér biǎo shì yuǎn yì diǎn de dì fāng, yì sī jiē jìn nà lǐ。 shuō huà shí cháng yòng lái zhǐ yí gè kàn dé jiàn de dì fāng。

那儿 means a place a little farther away, close to 那里. It is often used to point to a place you can see.

Context note

那儿常用来问路、指方向,或说明东西放在远一点的地方。

nà ér cháng yòng lái wèn lù 、 zhǐ fāng xiàng, huò shuō míng dōng xī fàng zài yuǎn yì diǎn de dì fāng。

那儿 is often used to ask for directions, point the way, or say something is placed farther away.
