Usage note

“形势”指事情发展的情况或局面，常用于描述环境或状态。

“Xíng shì” zhǐ shìqíng fāzhǎn de qíngkuàng huò júmiàn, cháng yòng yú miáoshù huánjìng huò zhuàngtài.

"Situation" refers to the circumstances or state of affairs as they develop, often used to describe an environment or condition.

Context note

在学校里，老师会告诉学生当前的形势，比如学习进度或活动安排。

Zài xuéxiào lǐ, lǎoshī huì gàosu xuéshēng dāngqián de xíngshì, bǐrú xuéxí jìndù huò huódòng ānpái.

At school, teachers tell students about the current situation, such as learning progress or activity arrangements.
