Usage note

“的”是一个很常用的字,表示东西属于谁。比如“我的书”意思是书是我的。

“de” shì yī gè hěn cháng yòng de zì, biǎo shì dōng xi shǔ yú shuí. bǐ rú “wǒ de shū” yì si shì shū shì wǒ de.

“的” is a very common word that shows something belongs to someone. For example, “我的书” means the book is mine.

这是妈妈的手机。的表示东西属于谁。

Zhè shì māma de shǒujī. de biǎoshì dōngxi shǔyú shuí.

This is mom's phone. 'De' shows who something belongs to.
