Usage note

结账是指在餐厅、商店或酒店结束购物或用餐后，支付费用的过程。

jié zhàng shì zhǐ zài cān diàn、shāng diàn huò gōng diàn jìn duǒ gòu wù huò wán yòng hòu，fèiyòng fú kě de chéngjì。

Checking out refers to the process of paying for goods or services after shopping or dining at a restaurant, store, or hotel.

Context note

结账通常出现在日常生活中，比如在餐厅吃完饭后、在商场购物结束后或者在酒店退房时。

jié zhàng cháng tōng xiàn rì cháng shēn zhōng，bǐ 如 guǎn zài cān diàn wán chī fàn hòu、zài shāng chǎng gòu wù jiē suǒ huò zài gōng diàn tuì fáng shí。

Checking out typically appears in daily life, such as after finishing a meal at a restaurant, shopping at a mall, or checking out of a hotel.
