Usage note

“趋势”这个词用来描述事物发展的方向或变化的方式。比如，你可以说“天气变暖的趋势”或“大家喜欢用手机的趋势”。它经常用在谈论变化和预测的时候。

“qū shì” zhège cí yòng lái miáoshù shìwù fāzhǎn de fāngxiàng huò biànhuà de fāngshì. Bǐrú, nǐ kěyǐ shuō “tiānqì biàn nuǎn de qūshì” huò “dàjiā xǐhuān yòng shǒujī de qūshì”. Tā jīngcháng yòng zài tánlùn biànhuà hé yùcè de shíhou.

The word '趋势' (trend) is used to describe the direction or manner of change of things. For example, you can say 'the trend of weather getting warmer' or 'the trend of people liking to use mobile phones'. It is often used when discussing changes and predictions.

Context note

在学校里，老师可能会问：“你注意到最近有什么趋势吗？” 在科学课上，我们学习气候变化的趋势。在体育课上，可以说“跑步越来越流行的趋势”。记住，趋势是慢慢发生的，不是突然的。

Zài xuéxiào lǐ, lǎoshī kěnéng huì wèn: “Nǐ zhùyì dào zuìjìn yǒu shénme qūshì ma?” Zài kēxué kè shàng, wǒmen xuéxí qìhòu biànhuà de qūshì. Zài tǐyù kè shàng, kěyǐ shuō “pǎobù yuè lái yuè liúxíng de qūshì”. Jì zhù, qūshì shì màn man fāshēng de, bùshì tūrán de.

At school, the teacher might ask: 'Have you noticed any trends recently?' In science class, we study the trend of climate change. In gym class, we can say 'the trend of running becoming more popular'. Remember, trends happen slowly, not suddenly.
