Usage note

“晒”意思是把东西放在太阳底下，让太阳把它晒干。比如晒衣服、晒被子。太阳很暖和的时候，我们就可以晒东西。

“Shài” yìsi shì bǎ dōngxi fàng zài tàiyáng dǐxià, ràng tàiyáng bǎ tā shài gān. Bǐrú shài yīfu, shài bèizi. Tàiyáng hěn nuǎnhuo de shíhou, wǒmen jiù kěyǐ shài dōngxi.

“Sun-dry” means to put something under the sun and let the sun dry it. For example, sun-drying clothes, sun-drying quilts. When the sun is warm, we can sun-dry things.

Context note

你可以在晴天帮妈妈晒衣服，或者晒自己的小被子。晒太阳对身体好，但不要晒太久哦！

Nǐ kěyǐ zài qíngtiān bāng māma shài yīfu, huòzhě shài zìjǐ de xiǎo bèizi. Shài tàiyáng duì shēntǐ hǎo, dàn bùyào shài tài jiǔ ò!

You can help mom sun-dry clothes on a sunny day, or sun-dry your own small quilt. Getting sun-dried is good for your health, but don't sun-dry too long!
