Usage note

”表示代别人做某事或换掉某物。

“Tì” biǎoshì dàitì biérén zuò mǒushì huò huàn diào mǒuwù.

"To replace" or "for" means to do something in place of someone else or to exchange something.

Context note

小明生病了,小红他值日。

Xiǎo Míng shēngbìng le, Xiǎo Hóng tì tā zhírì.

Xiao Ming is sick, Xiao Hong did the duty for him.
