Usage note

“研发”是研究和开发的意思。科学家和工程师们会研发新的东西，比如新的玩具或新的药。

“Yán fā” shì yánjiū hé kāifā de yìsi. Kēxuéjiā hé gōngchéngshīmen huì yán fā xīn de dōngxi, bǐrú xīn de wánjù huò xīn de yào.

"R&D" means research and development. Scientists and engineers research and develop new things, like new toys or new medicines.

Context note

在玩具公司里，叔叔阿姨们会研发新的玩具。他们先想点子，然后做出样品，最后生产出来卖给大家。

Zài wánjù gōngsī lǐ, shūshu āyímen huì yán fā xīn de wánjù. Tāmen xiān xiǎng diǎnzi, ránhòu zuò chū yàngpǐn, zuìhòu shēngchǎn chūlái mài gěi dàjiā.

In a toy company, uncles and aunties research and develop new toys. They first think of ideas, then make samples, and finally produce them to sell to everyone.
