“整体”意思是全部或整个，比如一个拼图的所有小块拼在一起就是整体。

“Zhěngtǐ” yìsi shì quánbù huò zhěnggè, bǐrú yī gè pīntú de suǒyǒu xiǎo kuài pīn zài yīqǐ jiùshì zhěngtǐ.

"Whole" or "entirety" means all or the entire thing, like all the pieces of a puzzle put together form the whole.

当我们看一个东西时，可以先看整体，再看细节，比如看一幅画先看整体颜色。

Dāng wǒmen kàn yī gè dōngxi shí, kěyǐ xiān kàn zhěngtǐ, zài kàn xìjié, bǐrú kàn yī fú huà xiān kàn zhěngtǐ yánsè.

When we look at something, we can first look at the whole, then at the details, like looking at the overall color of a painting first.
