Usage note

“休息”是指停止工作或活动，让自己放松。比如在学习之后可以适当休息一下。

xiūxi shì zhǐ tōngguò dāngdài gōngzuò huò huódòng, ràng zìjǐ fàngsōng. rúkě zài xuéxí zhī hòu kědào duìshì xiūxi yīxià.

"休息" means to stop working or doing activities and relax oneself. For example, after studying, you can take a short break.

Context note

“休息”常用于描述人们在工作或学习之后需要放松和恢复精力。比如，下班后、课间休息时或者睡觉前。

xiūxi cháng yòng wúrù míngshuō rénmen zài gōngzuò huò xuéxí zhī hòu xūyào fàngsōng hé fùzhuāng jīlì. rúkě, xiàbān hòu、kèjiān xiūxi shí huò qiánshuì jiélǐ.

"休息" is often used to describe when people need to relax and recover their energy after work or study. For example, after work, during a class break, or before bed.
