Usage note

乙是天干的第二位，常用来表示顺序中的第二，比如乙等或乙方。

Yǐ shì tiāngān de dì èr wèi, cháng yòng lái biǎoshì shùnxù zhōng de dì èr, bǐrú yǐ děng huò yǐ fāng.

Second (B) is the second of the Heavenly Stems, often used to indicate the second in order, like grade B or party B.

Context note

在中文里，乙用于分类或排名，比如考试成绩分甲、乙、丙，乙是第二好的。

Zài zhōngwén lǐ, yǐ yòng yú fēnlèi huò páimíng, bǐrú kǎoshì chéngjī fēn jiǎ, yǐ, bǐng, yǐ shì dì èr hǎo de.

In Chinese, second (B) is used for classification or ranking, such as exam scores divided into A, B, C, with B being the second best.
